Official Veterinarian (OV definition

Official Veterinarian (OV means a Veterinary Surgeon appointed by the Agency to perform specific tasks on behalf of the Agency. A Veterinary Surgeon must hold an OCQ(V) qualification and be a full member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) to be authorised by the Agency as an OV. Veterinarian and Veterinary Surgeon are interchangeable terms.
