Occupational definition

Occupational with respect to any Illness or Injury means any Illness or Injury arising out of or in the course of employment for pay or profit.
Occupational means occurring while the Assured Person is under contract with the Sponsoring Motor Carrier arising solely out of or in the course of his normal work and occurring while traveling between assigned destinations and/or under Dispatch.

  • Workplace safety means those conditions related to physical health and safety of employees enforceable under federal or state law, or District rule related to: safety of the physical work environment, the safe operation of workplace equipment and tools, provision of protective equipment, training and warning requirements, workplace violence and accident risk.

  • Environmental pollution means the contaminating or rendering unclean or impure the air, land or waters of the state, or making the same injurious to public health, harmful for commer- cial or recreational use, or deleterious to fish, bird, animal or plant life.
