New Year’s definition

New Year’s means New Year’s Eve day, New Year’s Day, and January 2.
New Year’s shall include up to a maximum of two (2) days comprising of December 31st and January 1st. The Employer will endeavour to rotate staff between Christmas and New Year’s from year to year, if practicable, based on the operational needs of the Employer and the availability of staff.
New Year’s means December 31 and January 1 of any given year.

Examples of New Year’s in a sentence

  • Business Day means Monday to Friday inclusive, except New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and any other day that ASX declares is not a business day.

  • The following days are observed as holidays by state agencies in accordance with section 110.117, F.S.: • New Year’s Day • Birthday of Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx., third Monday in January • Memorial Day • Independence Day • Labor Day • Veterans’ Day, November 11 • Thanksgiving Day • Friday after Thanksgiving • Christmas Day If any of these holidays falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as a holiday.

  • Legal holidays not counted as calendar days are New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.

  • When New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day or Christmas Day falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is observed; if it falls on Saturday the preceding Friday is observed.

Related to New Year’s

  • Afternoon shift means any shift finishing after 6.00 p.m. and at or before midnight.

  • Federal Fiscal Year means the period beginning October 1 and ending September 30 each year, which is the annual accounting period for the United States government.

  • Week means seven consecutive days.

  • Working Day means any day other than a Saturday or Sunday or public holiday in England and Wales.

  • Calendar Week means any period of seven days starting with the same day as the first day of the First Assignment;

  • Statutory Holiday means New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day; and

  • Bill Date The date when a CenturyLink service is billed and/or invoiced to a customer. The Bill Date is generally the date one (1) Day past the billing cycle close date and will appear on any such bill or invoice.

  • Bill Due Date means thirty (30) calendar days from the bill date.

  • Weeks pay means the ordinary time rate of pay for the employee concerned.

  • Index Start Date means 19 January 2015.

  • Semi-Annual Period means each period of six-months, commencing on the first day of a Fiscal Year; provided that the first such period shall begin on July 1, 2013 and end on December 31, 2013.

  • NERC Holidays means a holiday as defined by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation or any successor thereto.

  • Annual Period means each twelve (12) month period commencing on the Effective Date and, thereafter, on each anniversary of the Effective Date.

  • Operating Month for a Shipper or Transferor means any calendar month in which Carrier either transports Crude Petroleum or recognizes and records a change in ownership of Crude Petroleum for the account of such Party. For purposes hereof the calendar month shall be deemed to begin at 7:00 a.m. (Central Time) on the first day of such month.

  • Date of Commercial Operation or “COD” means

  • Working level month (WLM) means an exposure to 1 working level for 170 hours (2,000 working hours per year divided by 12 months per year is approximately equal to 170 hours per month).

  • Central Clock Time or "CCT" means Central Daylight Time when Daylight Savings Time is in effect and Central Standard Time when Daylight Savings Time is not in effect.

  • Daytime means the period between sunrise and sunset.

  • Month means a calendar month.

  • Contract Year means each period of twelve (12) consecutive months during the Initial Term of this Agreement, with the first Contract Year commencing on the Effective Date, and with each subsequent Contract Year commencing on the anniversary of the Effective Date.

  • Maximum Weekly Starts means the maximum number of times that a generating unit can be started in one week, defined as the 168 hour period starting Monday 0001 hour, under normal operating conditions. Member:
