Maximum design heat input" means the ability of a unit to combust a stated maximum amount of fuel per hour on a steady state basis, as determined by the physical design and physical characteristics of the unit.
NSPS Dc applies if the steam generating unit meets the following criteria:· Commenced construction, modification, or reconstruction after June 9, 1989, as stated in 40 CFR§60.40c(a); and· Maximum design heat input capacity of 100 MMBtu/hr or less, but greater than or equal to 10 MMBtu, as stated in 40 CFR §60.40c(a).
