Kentucky Community and Technical College System definition

Kentucky Community and Technical College System means the system composed of public community and technical colleges, including those postsecondary institutions operated by the former Cabinet for Workforce Development and those community colleges in the University of Kentucky Community College System on May 30, 1997.

  • Kentucky Employees’ Health Plan or KEHP means the group health plan which is composed of eligible employees of state agencies, boards of education, local health departments, quasi agencies, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, retiree (as defined in this Section) of the Kentucky Retirement Systems, Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System, the Legislators Retirement Plan, and the Judicial Retirement Plan, and their eligible dependents.

  • Effective January 1, 1998, employees of state community colleges who are transferred to the Kentucky Community and Technical College System shall continue to participate in federal old age, survivors, disability, and hospital insurance, and a retirement plan other than the Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System offered by Kentucky Community and Technical College System.

  • The council shall expedite wherever possible the approval of requests from the Kentucky Community and Technical College System board of regents relating to new certificate, diploma, technical, or associate degree programs of a vocational-technical and occupational nature.

  • Approval of capital projects and real property acquisitions shall be on a basis consistent with the strategic agenda and the mission of the respective universities and the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.

  • Kentucky Employees’ Health Plan means the group which is composed of eligible employees of state agencies, boards of education, local health departments, quasi agencies, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, retiree (as defined in this Section) of the Kentucky Retirement Systems, Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System, the Legislators Retirement Plan, and the Judicial Retirement Plan, and their eligible dependents.

  • Devise, establish, and periodically review and revise policies to be used in making recommendations to the Governor for consideration in developing recommendations to the General Assembly for appropriations to the universities, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, and to support strategies for persons to maintain necessary levels of literacy throughout their lifetimes including but not limited to appropriations to the Kentucky Adult Education Program.

  • The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (“KCTCS” or “System”) student code is intended to set forth the expectations for academic and behavioral responsibilities of the students who enroll in and attend the sixteen KCTCS colleges across Kentucky.

  • Technical college means the same as that term is defined in Section 53B-1-101.5.

  • University Community means all students and employees of the University, persons officially associated with the University, former students and alumni at the University, as well as invitees, visitors and guests.

  • College community means trustees, students, staff, faculty, and visitors on college-owned or controlled facilities.

  • Virginia Stormwater Management Act means Article 2.3 (§ 62.1-44.15:24 et seq.) of Chapter 3.1 of Title 62.1 of the Code of Virginia.

  • Genetic services means a genetic test, genetic counseling (including obtaining, interpreting, or assessing genetic information), or genetic education.

  • State Forester means the State Forester or the duly authorized representative of the State Forester.

  • Physical Therapy Compact Commission or "commission" means the national administrative body whose membership consists of all states that have enacted the compact.

  • Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act means the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act, 2013 (Act 16 of 2013);

  • District and high school graduation report means a report of the number of pupils, excluding adult education participants, in the district for the immediately preceding school year, adjusted for those pupils who have transferred into or out of the district or high school, who leave high school with a diploma or other credential of equal status.

  • Federally Qualified Health Center means a non-administrative medical facility with a fixed permanent location that is identified on the following search engines and offers health services on a sliding scale payment system: http://findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov or http://www.ihs.gov/ or http://www.aachc.org/.

  • State purchased health care or "health care" means medical

  • Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan or "SWPPP" means a document that is prepared in accordance with good engineering practices and that identifies potential sources of pollutants that may reasonably be expected to affect the quality of stormwater discharges from the construction site, and otherwise meets the requirements of this Ordinance. In addition the document shall identify and require the implementation of control measures, and shall include, but not be limited to the inclusion of, or the incorporation by reference of, an approved erosion and sediment control plan, an approved stormwater management plan, and a pollution prevention plan.

  • Manufactured home community means the same as land-leased community defined in sections 335.30A and 414.28A.

  • Biological safety cabinet means a containment unit suitable for the preparation of low to moderate risk agents where there is a need for protection of the product, personnel, and environment, according to National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) Standard 49.

  • Radiologic technologist, limited means an individual, other than a licensed radiologic technologist,

  • Emergency medical technician means a person who is either an EMT-I, EMT-II, or EMT-P (paramedic), and possesses a valid certificate or license in accordance with the standards of Division 2.5 (commencing with Section 1797) of the Health and Safety Code.

  • Bio-medical waste means any waste, which is generated during the diagnosis, treatment or immunisation of human beings or animals or in research activities pertaining thereto or in the production or testing of biologicals, and including categories mentioned in Schedule I;

  • Commercial sex act means any sex act on account of which anything of value is given to or received by any person.

  • Nuclear pharmacy means a pharmacy providing radio-pharmaceutical service.

  • Aviation gasoline means fuel designed for use in the operation of aircraft other than jet aircraft,

  • State forest means land dedicated under the Forests Act as a State forest;

  • International air transportation means transportation by air between a place in the United States and a place outside the United States or between two places both of which are outside the United States.

  • Community mental health center or "CMHC" means a facility offering a comprehensive array of community-based mental health services, including but not limited to, inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, emergency care, consultation and education; and, certain services at the option of the center, including, but not limited to, prescreening, rehabilitation services, pre-care and aftercare, training programs, and research and evaluation.

  • Coastal high hazard area means a Special Flood Hazard Area extending from offshore to the inland limit of a primary frontal dune along an open coast and any other area subject to high velocity wave action from storms or seismic sources. The area is designated on a FIRM, or other adopted flood map as determined in Article 3, Section B of this ordinance, as Zone VE.
