General order means such order as applies generally throughout the state to all persons, employments, places of employment or public buildings, or all persons, employments or places of employment or public buildings of a class under the jurisdiction of the department. All other orders of the department shall be considered special orders.
Federal office means the office of president of the United States, United States
Natural Outlet means any outlet into a watercourse, pond, ditch, lake or other body of surface or groundwater.
State Grid Code means the Grid Code specified by the CERC under Clause (h) of Sub-section (1) of Section 79 of the Electricity Act, as amended from time to time, and/or the State Grid Code as specified by the concerned State Commission, referred under Clause (h) of Sub- section (1) of Section 86 of the Electricity Xxx 0000, as applicable;
Network Code means the document now known as the Network Code and formerly known as the Railtrack Track Access Conditions 1995;
Civil War means an internecine war, or a war carried on between or among opposing citizens of the same country or nations.
Uniform Network Code means the uniform network code as defined in Standard Special Condition A11(6) of National Grid’s transporters licence, as such code may be amended from time to time in accordance with the terms thereof.
Federal law means the Statute of Canada entitled “The Cannabis Act” and any other Canadian federal legislation regulating cannabis.

sole practitioner means an individual incorporated under the laws of the state of Iowa, or an individual in private practice who is providing substance abuse treatment services independent from a program that is required to be licensed in accordance with Iowa Code section 125.13(1).
Warsaw Convention means the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules Relating to International Carriage by Air, signed at Warsaw, October 12, 1929, as amended, but not including the Montreal Convention as defined above.
Civil penalty means a penalty which is imposed on a credit provider by the operation of this Act and under which the debtor is not liable to pay to the credit provider an amount otherwise payable under a regulated contract.
Data Protection Law means the applicable legislation protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of persons and their right to privacy with regard to the processing of Personal Data under the Agreement (and includes, as far as it concerns the relationship between the parties regarding the processing of Personal Data by SAP on behalf of Customer, the GDPR as a minimum standard, irrespective of whether the Personal Data is subject to GDPR or not).
district heating or ‘district cooling’ means the distribution of thermal energy in the form of steam, hot water or chilled liquids, from a central source of production through a network to multiple buildings or sites, for the use of space or process heating or cooling;
Principal of a state contractor or prospective state contractor means (i) any individual who is a member of the board of directors of, or has an ownership interest of five per cent or more in, a state contractor or prospective state contractor, which is a business entity, except for an individual who is a member of the board of directors of a nonprofit organization, (ii) an individual who is employed by a state contractor or prospective state contractor, which is a business entity, as president, treasurer or executive vice president, (iii) an individual who is the chief executive officer of a state contractor or prospective state contractor, which is not a business entity, or if a state contractor or prospective state contractor has no such officer, then the officer who duly possesses comparable powers and duties, (iv) an officer or an employee of any state contractor or prospective state contractor who has managerial or discretionary responsibilities with respect to a state contract, (v) the spouse or a dependent child who is eighteen years of age or older of an individual described in this subparagraph, or (vi) a political committee established or controlled by an individual described in this subparagraph or the business entity or nonprofit organization that is the state contractor or prospective state contractor.

Child-headed household means a household where the main caregiver of the said household is younger than 18 years of age. Child-headed household means a household headed by a child as defined in terms of section 28(3) of the Constitution.
Code means the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
General obligation bond means a Bond, the payment of principal of and interest on which is a General Obligation of the Authority.
Canon Law means the Canon Law of the Catholic Church from time to time in force and if any question arises as to the interpretation of Canon Law, this shall be determined exclusively by the Diocesan Bishop;

Uniform Code means the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, as currently in effect and as hereafter amended from time to time.
IMDG Code means the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, for the implementation of Chapter VII, Part A, of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 (SOLAS Convention), published by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), London;

State law means the unemployment insurance law of any state, approved by the United States secretary of labor under section 3304 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954.
