Free Standing Directional Sign definition

Free Standing Directional Sign. Means a sign supported independently of and visibly separated from a building or structure and permanently fixed to the ground and shall be used for the direction of pedestrian and/or motor vehicle traffic but shall not be used for advertising, except for the logo or name of the establishment.   • Directional sign means a sign that contains only directional information regarding and the identification of 1 of the following:

  • free-standing sign means any immobile sign which is not attached to a building or to any structure or object intended to be used for the primary purpose other than advertising;

  • Wall sign means either a sign applied with paint or similar substance on the surface of a wall or a sign attached essentially parallel to and extending not more than 24 inches from the wall of a building with no copy on the sides or edges.

  • Digital Signature means authentication of any electronic record by a subscriber by means of an electronic method or procedure in accordance with the provisions of section 3;

  • Brand Name or Equal Specification means a specification which uses one or more manufacturer’s names or catalogue numbers to describe the standard of quality, performance, and other characteristics needed to meet District requirements, and which provides for the submission of equivalent products.

  • Switching and Tagging Rules means the switching and tagging procedures of Interconnected Transmission Owners and Interconnection Customer as they may be amended from time to time.

  • Digital Signal Level 1 (DS-1 means the 1.544 Mbps first level signal in the time division multiplex hierarchy.

  • Marquee sign means any sign attached to or supported by a marquee, which is a permanent roof-like projecting structure attached to a building.

  • Freestanding sign ’ means any sign or group of signs contained or displayed on one freestanding structure which is not attached to a building or to any structure or object not intended to be used for the primary purpose of advertising;

  • Fascia Sign means a sign attached to, marked or inscribed on, erected or placed against a wall forming part of a building, or supported by or through a wall of a building and having the exposed face thereof on a plane approximately parallel to the plane of such wall and includes a painted wall sign and an awning sign. A fascia sign shall not include any other sign defined in this By-law unless otherwise stated;

  • Digital Signal Level 0 or "DS0" means the 64 Kbps zero-level signal in the time-division multiplex hierarchy.

  • Digital Signal Level means one of several transmission rates in the time division multiplex hierarchy.

  • Digital Signal Level 1 or "DS1" means the 1.544 Mbps first-level signal in the time-division multiplex hierarchy. In the time-division multiplexing hierarchy of the telephone network, DS1 is the initial level of multiplexing.

  • Digital Signal Level 0 (DS-0 means the lowest-level signal in the time division multiplex digital hierarchy, and represents a voice-grade channel operating at either the 56 Kbps or 64 Kbps transmission bit rates. There are twenty-four (24) DS-0 channels in a DS-1.

  • Brand Name Specification means a specification limited to one or more items by manufacturers’ names or catalogue number.

  • Weapon-free school zone means school property and a vehicle used by a school to transport students to or from school property.

  • Loose-fitting facepiece means a respiratory inlet covering that is designed to form a partial seal with the face.

  • Digital Signal Level 3 or "DS3" means the 44.736 Mbps third-level in the time-division multiplex hierarchy. In the time-division multiplexing hierarchy of the telephone network, DS3 is defined as the third level of multiplexing.

  • Sandwich Board Sign means a temporary sign made of metal, wood, chalkboard, or white board that is not permanently attached to the ground and generally oriented to pedestrians.

  • Window sign means a sign posted, painted, placed or affixed in or on a window exposed to public view, and shall include an interior sign that faces a window exposed to public view and located within 1 metre of a window;(240-07)

  • Common Channel Signaling (“CCS”) is a method of digitally transmitting call set-up and network control data over a digital signaling network fully separate from the public switched telephone network that carries the actual call.

  • Shadow tray means a device attached to the radiation head to support auxiliary beam blocking material.

  • Canopy sign means a sign attached to or constructed in or on a canopy.

  • Modular home means a modular unit as defined in Section 15A-1-302.

  • Common Channel Signaling (CCS means an out-of-band, packet-switched, signaling network used to transport supervision signals, control signals, and data messages. It is a special network, fully separate from the transmission path of the public switched network. Unless otherwise agreed by the Parties, the CCS protocol used by the Parties shall be SS7.
