Brand Name or Equal Specification definition
Brand Name or Equal Specification means a specification which uses one or more manufacturer’s names or catalogue numbers to describe the standard of quality, performance, and other characteristics needed to meet District requirements, and which provides for the submission of equivalent products.
Brand Name or Equal Specification means a specification that uses one or more manufacturers’ names, makes, catalog numbers or similar identifying characteristics to describe the standard of quality, performance, functionality or other characteristics needed to meet the contracting agency’s requirements and that authorizes bidders or proposers to offer goods or services that are equivalent or superior to those named or described in the specification.
