Wall sign definition
Wall sign means either a sign applied with paint or similar substance on the surface of a wall or a sign attached essentially parallel to and extending not more than 24 inches from the wall of a building with no copy on the sides or edges.
Wall sign means any sign attached to or erected against the wall of a building or structure, with the exposed face of the sign in a place parallel to the plane of the wall.

More Definitions of Wall sign
Wall sign means a sign fastened to or painted on a wall of a building or structure in such a manner that the wall becomes the supporting structure for, or forms the background surface of the sign and which does not project more than 12 inches from such building or structure. See Figure 1.
