FOI body means a public body or a prescribed body;

  • Section 38 requires the FOI body to notify certain third parties that it is proposed to grant the request in the public interest, that the person may make submissions to the FOI body and that the FOI body will consider any such submissions before deciding whether to grant or refuse the request.

  • NHS body means the Board, an NHS trust, an NHS foundation trust, a Local Health Board, a Health Board, a Health and Social Services Board or a Health and Social Services Trust or, a Health Board or Special Health Board constituted under section 2 of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978;

  • Crown Body means any department, office or executive agency of the Crown;

  • Public body means a devolved public body listed in Schedule 3 of the Ethical Standards in Public Life etc. (Scotland) Act 2000, as amended.

  • Local Body means urban local body with different nomenclature such as municipal corporation, municipality, nagarpalika, nagarnigam, nagarpanchayat, municipal council including notified area committee (NAC) and not limited to or any other local body constituted under the relevant statutes such as gram panchayat, where the management of plastic waste is entrusted to such agency;

  • General Body means the list of Members given under Para 6 of the Memorandum of Association.

  • Dead body means a lifeless human body or such parts of a human body or the bones thereof from the state of which it reasonably may be concluded that death recently occurred.

  • Regional body means the members of the council and the premiers of Ontario and Quebec or their designee as established by the agreement.

  • Regulatory Body means those government departments and regulatory, statutory and other entities, committees, ombudsmen and bodies which, whether under statute, rules, regulations, codes of practice or otherwise, are entitled to regulate or investigate the matters dealt with in this Agreement or any other affairs of the Provider or the Department, including, without limitation Ofsted, the European Commission and the European Court of Auditors;

  • Governmental Body means any: (a) nation, state, commonwealth, province, territory, county, municipality, district or other jurisdiction of any nature; (b) federal, state, local, municipal, foreign or other government; or (c) governmental or quasi-governmental authority of any nature (including any governmental division, department, agency, commission, instrumentality, official, organization, unit, body or Entity and any court or other tribunal).

  • Competent Body means any body that has authority to issue standards or recommendations with which either Party must comply Conditions Precedent means the conditions precedent, if any, to commencement of service delivery referred to in clause A3.2 (Commencement and Duration) and set out in Appendix B (Conditions Precedent)

  • Sanctioning body means the American motorcycle association (AMA); auto racing club of America (ARCA); championship auto racing teams (CART); grand American road racing association (GRAND AM); Indy racing league (IRL); national association for stock car auto racing (NASCAR); national hot rod association (NHRA); professional sports car racing (PSR); sports car club of America (SCCA); United States auto club (USAC); Michigan state promoters association; or any successor organization or any other nationally or internationally recognized governing body of motorsports that establishes an annual schedule of motorsports events and grants rights to conduct the events, that has established and administers rules and regulations governing all participants involved in the events and all persons conducting the events, and that requires certain liability assurances, including insurance.

  • NDRC means the National Development and Reform Commission of the PRC or its local counterparts;

  • management body means a management body as defined in Article 4(1)(36) of Directive 2014/65/EU;

  • Central Government Body means a body listed in one of the following sub-categories of the Central Government classification of the Public Sector Classification Guide, as published and amended from time to time by the Office for National Statistics: Government Department; Non-Departmental Public Body or Assembly Sponsored Public Body (advisory, executive, or tribunal); Non-Ministerial Department; or Executive Agency;

  • private body means:• a natural person who carries or has carried on any trade, business or profession but only in the capacity as a natural person• a partnership which carries or has carried on any trade, business or profession• any former or existing juristic person but excludes a public body

  • Competent Authority and ‘Appellate Authority’ shall mean the following:

  • Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) means the Government Agency responsible for oversight of public procurement.

  • Subsidiary body means every internal organizational structure or body established in this Constitution other than the Convention and its Committees, the Executive Board and its Committees, and the Executive Committee.
