Number Portability Administration Center or "NPAC" means one (1) of the seven (7) regional number portability centers involved in the dissemination of data associated with ported numbers. The NPACs were established for each of the seven (7) original Xxxx Operating Company regions so as to cover the fifty (50) states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. territories in the North American Numbering Plan area. "Numbering Plan Area" or "NPA" is also sometimes referred to as an area code. It is a unique three-digit indicator that is defined by the "X," "X" and "C" digits of each 10-digit telephone number within the NANP. Each NPA contains 800 possible NXX Codes. There are two (2) general categories of NPA. "Geographic NPA" is associated with a defined geographic area and all telephone numbers bearing such NPA are associated with services provided within that geographic area. A "Non-Geographic NPA," also known as a "Service Access Code" (SAC Code), is typically associated with a specialized Telecommunications Service which may be provided across multiple geographic NPA areas; 500, Toll Free Service NPAs, 700, and 900 are examples of Non-Geographic NPAs. "NXX," "NXX Code," "Central Office Code," or "CO Code" is the three- (3)-digit Switch entity code which is defined by the "D," "E" and "F" digits of a ten- (10) digit telephone number within the NANP. "Operational Support Systems" or "OSS" shall have the meaning set forth in Section 12. "Optional Testing" is testing conducted by Qwest, at the request of CLEC, that is in lieu of testing CLEC should complete to isolate trouble to the Qwest network prior to submitting a trouble ticket to Qwest.
Federal Health Care Program means any “federal health care program” as defined in 42 U.S.C. § 1320a-7b(f), including Medicare, state Medicaid programs, state CHIP programs, the Veterans Administration, TRICARE and similar or successor programs with or for the benefit of any Governmental Authority, and in each case any third party payor administering such programs.
Home health agency means a person certified by medicare whose business is to provide to individuals in their places of residence other than in a hospital, nursing home, or county medical care facility 1 or more of the following services: nursing services, therapeutic services, social work services, homemaker services, home health aide services, or other related services.
Medication administration means the direct application of medications by injection, inhalation, ingestion, or any other means to an individual receiving services by (i) persons legally permitted to administer medications or (ii) the individual at the direction and in the presence of persons legally permitted to administer medications.
Nuclear pharmacy means a pharmacy providing radio-pharmaceutical service.
Home health aide means an individual employed by a home health agency to provide home health services under the direction of a registered nurse or therapist.
Department of Health means the Washington state department of
Local health department means the same as that term is defined in Section 26A-1-102.
Self-administration means carrying and taking medication without the intervention of the school nurse, approved through the school district policy and restricted to students with asthma, other potentially life-threatening illnesses or life-threatening allergic reaction.
Department of Health and Human Services means the Department of Health and Human Services
Home health aide services means the personal care and maintenance activities provided to individuals for the purpose of promoting normal standards of health and hygiene.
Health carrier or "carrier" means a disability insurer
Home Health Care means the continual care and treatment of an individual if:
Health Department means the department of environmental quality, a city health department, a county health department, or a district health department, whichever has jurisdiction.
Health Agency means the California Department of Health Services, or the local health officer with respect to a small water system.
Facility administrator means chief probation officer, sheriff, marshal, chief of police or other official charged by law with administration of the facility.
National Road Traffic Act means the National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act 93 of 1996);
Department of Education means the United States Department of Education.
County Administrator means the Greenville County Administrator, or the person holding any successor office of the County.
Third party administrator or "administrator" means the same as that term is defined in Section 31A-1-301.
