Disadvantaged definition

Disadvantaged means those youth who fall in one or more of the following categories:
Disadvantaged means operating under conditions detrimental to normal cognitive or affective growth due to socioeconomic limitations, cultural factors, geographic isolation, or various combinations of these factors to a degree that requires special considerations.
Disadvantaged means residing in a household that has a median income not more than the applicable median income in this state, except the term includes residing in a household that has a median income not more than one hundred fifty percent of the applicable median income in this state if the resident is deaf.

Disadvantaged means individuals (other thanhandicapped individuals with disabilities) who have economic or academic disadvantages and who require special services and assistance in order to enable them to succeed in vocational programs. Such term includes individuals who are members of economically disadvantaged families, migrants, and individuals who are dropouts from or who are identified as potential dropouts from secondary schools.
