Department Approved Officer definition

Department Approved Officer means a person approved by the Department to perform, on behalf of the Australian Government, export inspection, sampling and testing activities under Australia’s export legislation.

  • prescribed officer means a person who, within a company, performs any function that has been designated by the Minister in terms of section 66(10);

  • Deputy Minister - means the Deputy of a Minister or the Head of a ministry as defined in this agreement;

  • national department means a department of State within the national sphere of government;

  • Agency Chief Contracting Officer or “ACCO” shall mean the position delegated authority by the Agency Head to organize and supervise the procurement activity of subordinate Agency staff in conjunction with the City Chief Procurement Officer.

  • Authorized Financial Officer any of the chief financial officer, treasurer, assistant treasurer or controller of the Borrower.

  • Board office means the office of the administrative staff of each professional licensing board.

  • Assistant Hydrographic Surveyor means the Assistant Hydrographic Surveyor of the Authority, as the case may be

  • Department compliance officer means an individual who is:

  • national competent authority means any national competent authority as defined in Article 2(2) of Regulation (EU) No 1024/2013;

  • Board of Commissioners means a county board of commissioners.

  • Integrity Commissioner means the Integrity Commissioner appointed by Council pursuant to Section 223.3 of the Municipal Act, 2001;

  • School resource officer means a law enforcement officer or police officer employed by a local law enforcement agency who is assigned to a district through an agreement between the local law enforcement agency and the district.

  • National Commissioner means the National Commissioner of the South African Police Service, appointed by the President under section 207(1) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996;

  • Procurement Officer means the Buyer's contracting personnel, as identified in the Introductory Materials.

  • Senior Officer means the (a) chief executive officer, (b) chief operating officer, (c) chief financial officer, (d) chief accounting officer, (e) corporate controller, (f) treasurer, (g) assistant treasurer, (h) any senior vice president, or (i) any executive vice president, in each case whatever the title nomenclature may be, of the Person designated.

  • Michigan economic development corporation means the public body corporate created under section 28 of article VII of the state constitution of 1963 and the urban cooperation act of 1967, 1967 (Ex Sess) PA 7, MCL 124.501 to 124.512, by a contractual interlocal agreement effective April 5, 1999, as amended, between local participating economic development corporations formed under the economic development corporations act, 1974 PA 338, MCL 125.1601 to 125.1636, and the Michigan strategic fund. If the Michigan economic development corporation is unable for any reason to perform its duties under this act, those duties may be exercised by the Michigan strategic fund.

  • U.S. Department of Energy means the Department of Energy established by Public Law 95-91, August 4, 1977, 91 Stat. 565, 42 U.S.C. 7101 et seq., to the extent that the department exercises functions formerly vested in the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission, its chairman, members, officers and components and transferred to the U.S. Energy Research and Development Administration and to the administrator thereof pursuant to Sections 104(b), (c) and (d) of the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974 (Public Law 93-438, October 11, 1974, 88 Stat. 1233 at 1237, effective January 19, 1975) and retransferred to the Secretary of Energy pursuant to Section 301(a) of the Department of Energy Organization Act (Public Law 95-91, August 4, 1977, 91 Stat. 565 at 577-578, 42 U.S.C. 7151,

  • Michigan economic growth authority means the Michigan economic growth authority created in the Michigan economic growth authority act, 1995 PA 24, MCL 207.801 to 207.810.
