Channel Protection Storage Volume definition

Channel Protection Storage Volume means providing for practices that will allow for extended detention of the runoff generated by a 1-year, 24-hour event. This means capturing the runoff volume from a storm of this nature, and slowly releasing it over a period of no less than 24-hours to reduce rapid “bounce” effect common in many urban streams that leads to downcutting and streambank erosion.
Channel Protection Storage Volume means providing 24-hour extended detention of the one-year 24-hour storm event. If channel protection and water quality volumes share a common extended detention facility and outlet structure, water quality volume may be included in the channel protection volume.
Channel Protection Storage Volume means the volume used to design structural management practices to control stream channel erosion. Methods for calculating the channel protection storage volume are specified in the 2000 Maryland Stormwater Design Manual, Volumes I & II.

Channel Protection Storage Volume means practices that will allow for extended detention of the runoff generated by a 1-year, 24-hour duration storm event. This means capturing the runoff volume from a storm of this nature and slowly releasing it over a period of no less than 24-hours to reduce down cutting and streambank erosion.
