Affiliate Medical Staff definition

Affiliate Medical Staff means those Medical Staff members who are otherwise qualified, but do not utilize the Hospital as their primary facility for medical practice. Unless otherwise stated, “Affiliate Medical Staff” members must maintain Active Staff Privileges at another facility that requires participation in quality management activities consistent with those of Parkview Huntington Hospital.

  • Any member on the Active or Affiliate Medical Staff in good standing may serve as a Sponsor for an Allied Health Practitioner.

  • Affiliate Medical Staff Members shall provide or arrange for continuous coverage for their hospitalized patients whenever they are the Attending Physician.

  • Be Active or Affiliate Medical Staff Members (and remain in good standing as Active or Affiliate Medical Staff Members while in office).

  • Affiliate Medical Staff are not granted Privileges and do not admit or provide clinical services in the Hospital.

  • Applicants granted telemedicine privileges may be granted membership on the Affiliate Medical Staff if they apply for Medical Staff membership in addition to requesting telemedicine privileges, or they may be granted telemedicine privileges independent of any category of the Medical Staff.

  • Affiliate Medical Staff members will complete Continuing Medical Education Credits or Continuing Education Units appropriate to their scope of practice.

  • The Affiliate Medical Staff shall consist of those practitioners eligible for Medical Staff membership who do not admit inpatients to the Hospital but who are given privileges to consult on a limited number of hospitalized inpatients.

  • Medical Staff means all physicians, dentists, oral surgeons, and podiatrists who have been appointed to the Medical Staff by the Board.

  • MEDICAL STAFF LEADER means any Medical Staff officer, department chairperson, section chairperson, and committee chair.

  • Clinical Staff means those employees of a provider who are responsible for providing clinical services to clients.

  • Authorized medical physicist means an individual who:

  • Professional Staff means the Medical Staff, Dental Staff, Midwifery Staff and Extended Class Nursing Staff;

  • Medical physicist means a person trained in evaluating the performance of mammography equipment and facility quality assurance programs and who meets the qualifications for a medical physicist set forth in 41.6(3)“c.”

  • Medical Review Officer (MRO means a licensed M.D. or D.O. with knowledge of drug abuse disorders, employed or used by the City to review drug results in accordance with this procedure.

  • Medical care means amounts paid for:

  • Joint Controllers means where two or more Controllers jointly determine the purposes and means of processing.

  • Medical home means a team approach to providing health care that originates in a primary care setting; fosters a partnership among the patient, the personal provider, and other health care professionals, and where appropriate, the patient’s family; utilizes the partnership to access and integrate all medical and nonmedical health-related services across all elements of the health care system and the patient’s community as needed by the patient and the patient’s family to achieve maximum health potential; maintains a centralized, comprehensive record of all health-related services to promote continuity of care; and has all of the characteristics specified in section 135.158.

  • Medical Board means the North Carolina Medical Board.

  • Medical Advise means any consultation or advice from a Medical Practitioner including the issue of any prescription or repeat prescription.

  • Key Staff means staff in positions of executive or managerial responsibility and/or whose performance affects the viability of the business;

  • Emergency medical services personnel means that term as defined in section 20904 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.20904.

  • Medical Specialist means any medical practitioner who is vocationally registered by the Medical Council under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 in one of the approved branches of medicine and who is employed in either that branch of medicine or in a similar capacity with minimal oversight.

  • Subordinate joint force commander means a sub-unified commander or joint task force commander.

  • Qualified medical provider means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.

  • Peer-reviewed medical literature means a published scientific study in a journal or other publication in which original manuscripts have been published only after having been critically reviewed for scientific accuracy, validity and reliability by unbiased independent experts, and that has been determined by the international committee of medical journal editors to have met the uniform requirements for manuscripts submitted to biomedical journals. Peer-reviewed medical literature does not include publications or supplements to publications that are sponsored to a significant extent by a pharmaceutical manufacturing company or health carrier.

  • Joint Control means a situation where a company has multiple promoters (but none of the shareholders has more than 50% of voting rights and paid up share capital);

  • Medical personnel means those persons assigned, by a Party to the conflict, exclusively to the medical purposes enumerated under subparagraph (e) or to the administration of medical units or to the operation or administration of medical transports. Such assignments may be either permanent or temporary. The term includes:

  • Educational personnel means persons who must meet requirements pursuant to state law as a condition of employment in educational programs.

  • Medical cannabis dispensary means an organization issued a

  • Joint Controller with the other Party;

  • Medical cannabis means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.

  • Qualified Medical Child Support Order means a Medical Child Support Order which creates (including assignment of rights) or recognizes an Alternate Recipient's right to receive benefits to which a Participant or Qualified Beneficiary is eligible under this Plan, and has been determined by the Plan Administrator to meet the qualification requirements as outlined under “Procedures” of this provision.

  • Medical control means a person who provides medical supervision to an emergency medical service provider.
