at a distance means that the service is provided without the parties being simultaneously present;
Service in the uniformed services means the performance of duty on a voluntary or involuntary basis in a uniformed service under competent authority and includes active duty, active duty for training, initial active duty for training, inactive duty training, full-time national guard duty including state-ordered active duty, and a period for which a person is absent from a position of employment for the purpose of an examination to determine the fitness of the person to perform any such duty.
Competitive contracting means the method described in sections 45 through 49 of P.L.1999, c.440 (C.18A:18A-4.1 through C.18A:18A-4.5) of contracting for specialized goods and services in which formal proposals are solicited from vendors; formal proposals are evaluated by the purchasing agent or counsel or School Business Administrator; and the Board awards a contract to a vendor or vendors from among the formal proposals received.
Practice of respiratory care means the (i) administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and
Protected Areas Act means the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act, 2003;
Medical control means a person who provides medical supervision to an emergency medical service provider.
Competing Services means to provide, manage, supervise, or consult about (whether as an employee, owner, partner, stockholder, investor, joint venturer, lender, director, manager, officer, employee, consultant, independent contractor, representative or agent, or otherwise) any services that are similar in purpose or function to services you provided to the Company in the two year period preceding the termination of your employment, that might involve the use or disclosure of Confidential Information, or that would involve business opportunities related to Relevant Products.
Restricted Areas means (i) all areas within a Facility that are not generally accessible to the public, including judges’ xxxxxxxx, all non-public restrooms, elevators, break rooms, and corridors, in-custody holding, Sheriff areas and other non- public spaces that are dedicated for use only by judges or Court staff and employees, and (ii) public areas of a Facility during non-business hours that are subject to security screening during normal business hours.
Practice of medicine or osteopathic medicine means the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of
Student with a disability is defined as an individual who: ● is still enrolled in secondary school and has not exited, graduated, or withdrawn; ● is at least 14 years old but less than 22; ● and has a disability (i.e., receives services under an IEP or 504 plan, or has a disability for purposes of section 504). The limited Pre-ETS that may be provided, based on identified need and the availability of services, include: ● Job exploration counseling ● Work-based learning experiences, which may include in-school or after school opportunities, experiences outside of the traditional school setting, and/or internships ● Counseling on opportunities for enrollment in comprehensive transition or post- secondary educational programs ● Workplace readiness training to develop social skills and independent living ● Instruction in self-advocacy Authorizations for Pre-ETS. DORS only pays for Pre-ETS services that have been previously authorized by a DORS official in writing. Pre-ETS Reporting: Completion of the Pre-Employment Transition Services Progress Report (Rs10f), Work Based Learning Experience Agreement (Rs10g), Work Based Learning Experience on site workplace readiness Training Report (Rs10e), or approved alternative form is required at the conclusion of the training or at agreed upon intervals.
Employment services organization means an organization that provides community-based employment services to individuals with disabilities that is an approved Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accredited vendor of the Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services.
Telemedicine means the exchange of medical information from one site to another via electronic communications for the purpose of providing patient care, treatment, and services.
Medical services means Medically Necessary services, including, as the context requires, Confinement, treatments, procedures, tests, examinations or other related services for the investigation or treatment of a Disability.
Diagnostic Services means services provided for the purpose of determining the nature and cause of a condition, ill- ness, or injury.
Restricted Services means services of any kind or character comparable to those Executive provided to the Company during the eighteen (18) month period immediately preceding Executive’s last date of employment with the Company.
Restricted Area means an area, access to which is limited by the licensee or registrant for the purpose of protecting individuals against undue risks from exposure to sources of radiation. Restricted area does not include areas used as residential quarters, but separate rooms in a residential building may be set apart as a restricted area.
Public highway means a public highway, road, street, avenue, alley, or thoroughfare of any kind, or a bridge, tunnel, or subway used by the public.
Public School Student Accessing Courses at a Distance means a student who is scheduled for a full course load through the District and attends all classes virtually.
Respiratory care means the practice of the allied health profession responsible for the direct and
Supported employment services means provision of job training and supervision available to assist an individual who needs intensive ongoing support to choose, get, and keep a job in a community business setting. Supported employment is a service planned in partnership with public vocational assistance agencies and school districts and through Social Security Work Incentives when available.
Geographic Service Area or “Service Area” means an area as defined in Section 1345(k) of the Health and Safety Code.
Employment Services means "employment services" as defined in OAR 411-345-0020.
Competing Business means any person or entity that competes with the Company Group in the sale, marketing, production, distribution, research or development of Competing Products in the same markets.
Interconnected Entity means either the Interconnection Customer or the Interconnected Transmission Owner; Interconnected Entities shall mean both of them. Interconnected Transmission Owner:
Reasonable Distance means a distance that has regard to the Employee’s original work location, current home address, capacity of the Employee to travel, additional travelling time, effects on the personal circumstances of the affected Employee, including family commitments and responsibilities and other matters raised by the Employee, or assistance provided by their Employer.
Respite services means a temporary period of relief and support for individuals and their families provided in a variety of settings. The intent is to provide a safe environment with staff assistance for individuals who lack an adequate support system to address current issues related to a disability. Respite may be provided for a defined period of time; respite is either planned or provided in response to a crisis.
