Common use of Xxxxxxxxx Medical Center Overtime Clause in Contracts

Xxxxxxxxx Medical Center Overtime. A. If in the judgment of an Appointing Authority, extra hours are required to be worked by an employee for the accomplishment of County business, the Appointing Authority may authorize and require the performance of said extra hours. Overtime for employees of Xxxxxxxxx Medical Center shall be defined as time actually worked in excess of eight (8) hours in a day and/or eighty (80) hours in a biweekly pay period. For employees of Xxxxxxxxx Medical Center on alternative workweek schedules, overtime shall be defined as time actually worked in excess of (ten) 10 or (twelve) 12 hours in a day and/ or forty (40) hours in a work week. Regular rate of pay shall be the rate of pay calculated as provided for by the Fair Labor Standards Act. Hours and the corresponding dollar values of: Paid Time Off (i.e. PTO- vacation), shall be counted as hours worked for purposes of determining overtime. Paid Time Off (i.e. PTO-sick, PTO- Bereavement, PTO-holiday not worked and Compensatory Time Off) shall not be counted as hours worked for purposes of determining overtime.
