Common use of Working on Recognized Holiday Clause in Contracts

Working on Recognized Holiday. Where a permanent employee works on a recognized holiday, such employee shall receive time and one-half for each hour worked on the holiday, plus straight time for all hours that they otherwise would have worked if this were not a holiday. Otherwise, the employee who does not work on that day shall only receive payment at the regular rate of pay for that day.
