Common use of WORK YEAR – WORK WEEK Clause in Contracts

WORK YEAR – WORK WEEK. 5:1 The work week for secretaries, bus drivers and instructional assistants shall be Monday through Friday during the employee’s contract period, with the exception of scheduled vacations and holidays. 5:1.1 The regular workweek for Operations staff is generally Monday through Friday. The Board of Education may create a position(s) whose normal workweek would include Saturday or Sunday at regular pay. If such a position(s) is created, no present employee shall be required to fill it. Posting and advertising shall be the same as for any other position. There will be an annual stipend of $500.00 for any position which includes Saturday or Sunday as a regular workday ($1,000 if both Saturday and Sunday are included), if full time, and prorated on that amount if part time.
