Wage Employees Acting in Wage Positions. Provided he/she has the necessary qualifications, a w age employee, may be assigned in an acting capacity to replace another w age employee w ho is absent on any leave authorized under this agreement, for a maximum period of six (6) months. Such assignments shall be filled by the most senior employee w ho is qualified to perform the functions of the job, first from w ithin the w ork unit, next from w ithin the section, and next from w ithin the branch.
