  • Voluntary quit 2. Discharge for just cause.

  • Voluntary Compliance In connection with breaches of this Agreement for which a Member is liable to the Sector or other Sector Members for liquidated damages, the Sector shall provide the breaching Member fifteen (15) days prior notice of its intent to exercise its rights of collection, during which period the Member may propose an alternative method of compensating the Sector and other Sector Members for the damages suffered as the result of such Member’s breach. The Enforcement Committee may approve or disapprove any alternative form of compensation in its sole discretion, provided that if the breach at issue is an overharvest of a Member’s Harvest Share, there shall be no liquidated damages imposed if the Member in breach obtains sufficient Harvest Share from other Members to offset the overharvest, and tenders conclusive evidence to that effect to the Enforcement Committee. Such Member shall nevertheless remain liable for the costs and fees incurred by the Sector in connection with the alleged breach, and the Sector shall be entitled to collect such costs and fees if such Member fails to pay the same within ten (10) days of receiving the Sector’s demand for payment.

  • Voluntary Deductions A. The Employer agrees to deduct from the wages of any employee who is a member of the Union a DRIVE and/or a Teamsters Legal Defense Fund deduction as provided for in a written authorization. Such authorization must be executed by the employee and may be revoked by the employee at any time by giving written notice to both the Employer and the Union. The beginning and/or termination of this deduction will coincide with the payroll cycle. The Employer agrees to remit any deductions made pursuant to this provision to the Union together with a report showing:

  • Voluntary employee contributions (i) Subject to the governing rules of the relevant superannuation fund, an employee may, in writing, authorise their employer to pay on behalf of the employee a specified amount from the post- taxation wages of the employee into the same superannuation fund as the employer makes the superannuation contributions provided for in Clause 24(b).

  • Voluntary Layoff Appointing authorities will allow an employee in the same job classification and department where layoffs will occur to volunteer to be laid off provided that the employee is in a position requiring the same skills and abilities, as a position subject to layoff. Any volunteer for layoff shall have no formal layoff option. If the appointing authority accepts the employee’s voluntary request for layoff, the employee will submit a non-revocable letter stating they are accepting a voluntary layoff from the University. The employee will be placed on all applicable rehire lists.

  • Voluntary Cancellation Subject to the payment of SIMEST Break Costs, the Borrower may, if it gives the Agent not less than thirty-five (35) days’ (or such shorter period as the Majority Lenders may agree) prior notice, cancel the whole or any part of the Available Facility. Any cancellation under this Clause 7.9 (Voluntary cancellation) shall reduce the Commitments of the Lenders rateably.

  • Voluntary Options The County shall provide additional options to permit employees to elect up to three (3) times their annual salary to a maximum of $500,000 of provided and purchased life insurance. Premium rates for these supplemental options shall be determined by the County based on the quotation from the insurance carrier selected by the County to provide the life insurance.

  • Voluntary Leave A. A tenure teacher may be allowed to take an unpaid voluntary leave for a period not to exceed one (1) year without loss or gain in seniority. Such leave must be in accordance with Article 7-Reduction in Staff.

  • Voluntary Layoffs Prior to implementing any involuntary reduction in force, the deans shall contact all regular faculty members, urging those faculty members to notify the deans within a specified time if they are willing to retire early or to accept leave without pay of a specific duration. The deans will also contact all faculty members who have adjunct or post-retirement contracts, urging those faculty members to notify the deans within a specified time if they are willing to terminate any portions of contracts which extend beyond the current quarter.

  • Voluntary Demotions For purposes of this Section, the term Aopening@ shall apply to any permanent vacancy in a classification. An employee may vacate from his current classification once per year given there is an opening and the employee is qualified to perform in the lower classification to which the employee has requested a demotion. The Department will assign voluntarily demoted employees beginning with the next employee pay cycle. Employees will have thirty (30) days to certify for position openings. No employee shall be displaced from the Department through a voluntary demotion. Employees who voluntarily demote to a lower classification will be placed in the new payline for the lower classification based on their years of service in the lower classification. Employees that voluntarily demote to the classification of Firefighter will receive credit for total time spent in the Department when being placed on that payline.
