UNION SHOP & UNION DUES. 2.01 The Employer agrees to retain in its employ, within the Bargaining Unit as outlined in Article 1 of this Agreement, only active members of the Union. The Employer shall be free to hire new employees who are not members of the Union, provided said non- members, whether part- or full-time employees, shall be eligible for membership in the Union and shall make application within ten (10) days after employment and become members within thirty (30) days.
