Common use of Union Functions Clause in Contracts

Union Functions. (a) Upon written request to the Department General Manager, three (3) weeks in advance, an employee elected or appointed to represent the Union at C.U.P.E. or its affiliate conventions or conferences shall be allowed leave of absence without loss of seniority provided such Union leave does not disrupt the operation of the Department involved. (b) An employee shall continue to receive his regular pay and benefits while on such leave. The Employer will deduct this amount from the monthly Union deductions.
