Unauthorized Strikes Sample Clauses

The Unauthorized Strikes clause defines the prohibition and consequences of employees engaging in strikes or work stoppages that are not sanctioned by the union or permitted under the collective bargaining agreement. Typically, this clause outlines that any such unauthorized action may result in disciplinary measures, including suspension or termination, and may also require the union to take steps to end the strike. Its core function is to maintain workplace stability and ensure that labor disputes are managed through agreed-upon procedures, thereby minimizing disruptions and clarifying the responsibilities of both employees and the union.
Unauthorized Strikes. The Union agrees that it (and its officers) will take prompt affirmative action to prevent or stop unauthorized strikes, sympathy strikes, sit-downs, stay-ins, slowdowns, work stoppages, curtailment of work, concerted use of paid leave time, restriction of work or interference with the operations of the Company or in any manner noted in Section 1, by notifying the employees that it disavows these acts. The Union further agrees that the Company shall have the right to discipline (including discharge) any or all employees who violate this Article, and such action shall not be subject to the Grievance Procedure provision of this Agreement, except that the Grievance Procedure shall be available to such employees only to contend that they had not participated or engaged in prohibited conduct.
Unauthorized Strikes. In the event of the occurrence or threat of any un- authorized, illegal or wildcat strike, stoppage of work, slowdown or walkout by an employee, the Union will take all steps necessary and appropriate, and will use its best efforts to terminate or prevent such action, and any disciplinary action taken by the Laboratory shall be subject to the grievance procedure in accordance with the provisions of Article XII.
Unauthorized Strikes. It is understood and agreed that, in the event of any unauthorized strike, suspension, slow-up or stoppage of work during the term of this Agreement, there shall be no liability on the part of the International Union, Local Union, or any of their agents, officers, or members and the sole recourse and exclusive remedies of the Company, in such event, shall be those of a disciplinary nature against its employees who have so violated. In the event any employee or group of employees participate in any deliberate curtailment of work or take part in any unauthorized strike, the Union and its officers shall immediately attempt to prevail upon such employees to return to work. Should the Union be unsuccessful in immediately terminating such work stoppage, the Company shall be free to take any disciplinary action it deems necessary up to and including dismissal against any or all employees.
Unauthorized Strikes. In the event of an unauthorized strike, slow-up or stoppage, the City agrees that there will be no liability on the part of the Union, provided the Union promptly and publicly disavows such unauthorized strike, orders the employees to return to work and attempts to bring about a prompt resumption of normal operations, and provided further that the Union notifies the City, in writing, within forty-eight (48) hours after the commencement of such strike, what measures it has taken to comply with the provisions of this Article.
Unauthorized Strikes. In the event of any unauthorized strike, work stoppage, slowdown or picketing, the Union agrees to cooperate with the Employer in bringing the same to an end and also agrees that the Employer shall have the right to discipline any employee or employees participating herein by discharge or layoff as the Employer shall determine.
