Typical activities. (i) School support services grade 1 • Providing general assistance of a supportive nature to teachers, as directed • Assisting student learning, either individually or in groups, under the direct supervision of a higher level general employee or a teacher • Assisting with the collection, preparation and distribution of classroom materials • Assisting with clerical duties associated with normal classroom activities, e.g. student records, equipment records, etc. • Assisting teachers with the care of students on school excursions, sports days, playground duties and other classroom activities • Occupational equivalent: teacher aide/assistant, integration aide/assistant
