Common use of TUITION AID Clause in Contracts

TUITION AID. A. The Judiciary shall fund a Tuition Aid/Educational Enhancement Fund in an amount of not less than $25,000 per fiscal year during the term of the contract (to be shared by both JCAU bargaining units). Unused funds shall not rollover to the next fiscal year. The approval process to participate in this program will be at management’s discretion and approval will not be unreasonably denied. B. For the term of the contract, the amount of reimbursement per person may be up to but shall not exceed $600 per course and will be capped at $1,200 per fiscal year. Funds not reimbursed by May 15 of each fiscal year will lapse and any reimbursement for previously approved applications will be paid from the next fiscal year’s tuition aid fund.
