Common use of Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer Clause in Contracts

Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer. The treasurer shall be the chief accounting officer of the Trust, shall be responsible for preparation of financial statements of the Trust and, subject to any arrangement made by the Trustees with a bank or trust company or other organization as custodian or transfer or shareholder services agent, shall be in charge of its valuable papers and its books of account and accounting records. The treasurer shall also have such other duties and powers as shall be designated from time to time by the Trustees, the president or the executive vice president. In the absence of the treasurer, if there is an assistant treasurer the assistant treasurer shall perform the duties of the treasurer and when so acting shall have the powers of the treasurer. The assistant treasurer shall also have such other duties and powers as shall be designated from time to time by the Trustees, the president, the executive vice president or the treasurer.
