Transfer List. The Director of Classified Human Resources shall maintain a transfer list of all permanent unit members who request his/her assistance in obtaining transfers, and shall be of such assistance as may be possible in effecting the transfers of such applicants. 1. Requests for transfer by an employee shall be made in writing to the Director of Classified Human Resources on “Request for Transfer” form. Transfer requests will be maintained for the current fiscal year and then destroyed. 2. When an appropriate vacancy occurs, selection for appointment shall be made from the first three (3) eligible senior applicants on the Transfer List. Seniority shall be established as of the date of original employment in the District. If there are fewer than three (3) eligible applicants on the Transfer List, the administrative supervisor may request names from the appropriate eligible list to provide a total of three (3) candidates from which to select. A unit member who receives an overall unsatisfactory or overall needs to improve on his/her current performance evaluation is not eligible for transfer unless and until (1) the Plan for Individual Improvement, as outlined in Article 15.D.4. has been implemented and completed, and (2) the employee has received an overall competent interim evaluation following implementation of the Plan for Individual Improvement. The Director of Classified Human Resources may designate a unit member as eligible for transfer even if he/she has been rated overall unsatisfactory or overall needs to improve. Such designation shall be in writing. 3. The names of those employees requesting transfer, who have authorized the release of their names to AEOTE, shall be furnished, on request, to the Association President, at his/her work location.
