TEMPORARY WORKING LEVEL. The Employing Agency may temporarily assign an employee within one of the classification titles listed in Sections 21.03 and 21.04 to duties of a position with a higher pay range. If the temporary assignment is for a continuous period in excess of four (4) days, the affected employee shall receive a pay adjustment which increases the employee’s step rate of pay to the greater either of the classification salary base of the higher level position or a rate of pay which is approximately four percent (4%) above his/her current rate of compensation. This pay adjustment shall in no way effect the longevity pay supplement where applicable, which shall be calculated using the employee’s normal classification salary base. The employee shall receive the pay adjustment for the duration of the temporary assignment.
