Common use of Temporary Bargaining Clause in Contracts

Temporary Bargaining. Unit Employees may be hired where the Employer reasonably perceives at the time of the hiring that the work will be of a temporary nature, or to replace Bargaining Unit Employees on vacation or leave of absence.

Temporary Bargaining. Unit Employees may be hired where the Employer reasonably perceives at the time of the hiring that the work will be of a temporary nature, or to meet minimum staffing levels, to replace Bargaining Unit Employees on vacation or leave of absence, to avoid the use of an external employment agency or to address an emergent staffing need within a facility. In the event that the Employer employs temporary bargaining unit employees to address staffing needs, the Employer will immediately notify the Union.
