Suspension of Deferrals for Other Reasons. If a Participant commences an authorized leave of absence which is unpaid or his or her Compensation is significantly reduced for any reason whatsoever, the Participant’s Compensation Deferrals shall be suspended for such period of time as the Plan Administrator, in its complete and absolute discretion, determines. The Participant’s eligibility for Employer Matching Credits and Employer Discretionary Credits may be similarly suspended. Upon the Participant’s return to active employment or receipt of his or her normal rate of Compensation, his or her Compensation Deferrals shall resume (as will eligibility for Employer Matching Credits and Employer Discretionary Credits) for the remaining portion of the Taxable Year in which the suspension occurred, based on the Compensation Deferral Agreement in effect for that Taxable Year. If resumption would not occur until a later Taxable Year, the Participant shall be permitted to complete a new Compensation Deferral Agreement as though he or she was a new Eligible Employee.
