Supernumerary. A person employed to appear only incidentally or in background and who does not speak or sing or dance or perform individually as directed.
Supernumerary. An employee involved in a return to work program will be employed in a position that is additional to the Employer’s regular number of full-time, part-time and casual positions and further will not cause the dis- missal, layoff or reduction in hours or period of work of any existing employees of the Employer.
Supernumerary. The function of a "supernumerary" is to provide atmosphere and/or background requiring no special theatrical skill or training. A Supernumerary may perform in limited dance sequences. Supernumeraries may not be members of Equity or of any professional performing artists' association or union and all Supernumeraries must be signed to a non- professional affidavit to be filed with Equity. Supernumerary. Where the absence of an employee would create workload problems, or the work is a sensitive safety position, or there is a medical requirement, the employee returning on a graduated return to work program will be supernumerary. They will remain supernumerary until medical requirement is removed, or they can complete their full shift and duties. The employee, an Employer designate responsible for the Early Safe Return to Work Program, the Union xxxxxxx and the employee’s immediate supervisor will meet to agree on a suitable program. A written program for the employee will include:
Supernumerary. 1. In the event a Miami Air flight is being operated by another carrier, the Company may assign at least one Flight Attendant to serve as a Supernumerary.

They shall be rehearsed not more than once and shall attend technical and dress rehearsals as required. Their Role must be capable of being taken by another person at very short notice. Before supernumeraries are engaged, the Manager shall inform Equity.
