Submission of Documentation. The teacher, who is asked to cover the class or designee of the principal, is responsible for asking for, filling out, signing and turning in a timecard in order to receive substitute pay. A signed timesheet is legally required before the monies can be paid to the teacher. In the case of “division of substitute responsibilities” (see below), this money cannot be withheld if another employee does not turn in their timecard.
