Step Four - Arbitration. A. In the event that the grievance is not resolved in Step Three (3) of the grievance procedure, then within five (5) working days from the date the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee provided his/her written answer to the grievant, the grievance shall be submitted to arbitration, if the Association so timely chooses. The selection of an impartial arbitrator shall be made through the process provided by the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration costs shall be shared equally by both parties. The expenses and compensation of any witnesses or participants in the arbitration hearing shall be paid by the party calling such witnesses or requesting such participants.
