Common use of Standby Pay Clause in Contracts

Standby Pay. When a regular full-time employee is required and assigned to be available for immediate emergency call-back at times that the employee is not otherwise on duty, the employee shall be compensated for such standby hours at two (2) hours straight time pay or equivalent time off for each eight (8) hours of assigned standby time.

Standby Pay. If the employee is called in to work during the eight (8) hour period, only the call-in or call-back allowance will be received.
