Common use of Seniority Credits Clause in Contracts

Seniority Credits. A part-time salaried employee will be on probation and will not be placed on a seniority list until such employee has accumulated ninety days of seniority credits, at which time seniority will be established. Seniority credits will determine service for job security related items and seniority application in Article 14 -Seniority, and will be calculated under the following formula: In any measurement period, seniority credits will be accumulated using the following ratio: Scheduled Regular Hours Measurement Seniority = Worked or Paid X Period Credits Equivalent Regular Full-time Scheduled Hours Seniority credits will be adjusted at the end of each fiscal quarter. The seniority of an employee (full-time or part-time) who is affected by lay off, and the seniority of part time employees, will, for displacement purposes, be the relative seniority as of the date that the employee is notified of lay off.
