Seating Position a) Seating The Music Director shall have the right to determine the seating position of every player in the Orchestra. He may consult with the relevant Principal Musician, but the final decision is his. Decisions with respect to seating are not grievable. Seating assignments shall be posted at least fourteen (14) days in advance of the first rehearsal of any program.

Orchestra members shall be given notice of seating positions not less than four (4) weeks in advance of the first service of each regular season. NACO Musicians will be given priority seating over extra musicians when required for whatever reason in a section string position, subject to the right of the Music Director in consultation with the Concertmaster and the Principal of the section or sections involved, or when the Music Director is unavailable, the Concertmaster in consultation with the Principal of the section or sections involved, to require other seating arrangements for artistic reasons. Decisions with respect to seating are not grievable. The Artistic Advisory Committee will be advised of any seating decisions.
