Common use of Safety Data Sheets Clause in Contracts

Safety Data Sheets. 20.1 To comply with the City's Hazardous Communication Program, Consultant agrees to submit Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all "hazardous substances" Consultant intends to use in the performance of work under this Contract in any City facility. "Hazardous substances" are defined as those substances so designated by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Hazardous Substances Information and Training Act (Labor Code sec. 6360 et seq.). The SDS for all products must be submitted to the City before commencing work. The SDS for a particular product must be reviewed and approved by the City's Risk Manager before Consultant may use that product.
