Common use of SAFEGUARD POLICY Clause in Contracts

SAFEGUARD POLICY. On September 9, 2021, the President issued Executive Order 14042 (“the order”) to direct agencies to ensure that the parties that have contracts or contract-like arrangements with the Federal Government are providing adequate COVID-19 safeguards to their workers performing on or in connection with a contract or contract-like instrument. The purpose of these safeguards is to decrease the spread of COVID-19, which will reduce worker absence, lower labor cost, and improve the overall efficiency of the Federal workforce. In order to comply with the order, the CNA shall develop a COVID-19 Safeguard Policy that implements practices and procedures consistent with the order. At a minimum, the CNA COVID-19 Safeguard Policy should address the following:
