Common use of Sabbatical Plan Clause in Contracts

Sabbatical Plan. With advance approval after five (5) years of service, a sabbatical leave may be granted with Employer covered medical, dental and insurance benefits for up to three (3) months. The Employer may waive the usual vacation cap for employees planning a sabbatical and the term of the sabbatical will be individually negotiated between the employee and the Executive Director. An employee who is granted sabbatical leave will sign an agreement to reimburse the Employer for any benefits received should the employee decide not to return to work or to leave PROTECl7 before serving an amount of time comparable to that of the leave.
