S tatus of Tenure and Pension. The period of sabbatical leave shall count as regular service for the purpose of retirement, and contributions by the Teacher to the retirement fund shall continue as usual during such period. Tenure rights shall not be impaired. The period of time spent on sabbatical leave shall be counted for purpose of salary increment and seniority, just as though the Teacher had actively engaged in teaching.
