Common use of Requests for Negotiations Clause in Contracts

Requests for Negotiations. If either of the parties desires to open negotiations for a successor Agreement, it shall notify the other party in writing not earlier than January 1 or not later than January 31 of the year in which this Agreement expires. Written notice from the MTA shall be served on the Superintendent; written notice from the Board shall be addressed to the President of the MTA. The party giving notice shall also serve a copy of the written notice, together with a copy of the Agreement, on the State Employment Relations Board (SERB).
