  • Substitute Teachers In lieu of salary under the Basic Salary Schedule, the District shall pay to teachers employed on the basis of the teacher being available for service if and when called upon by the District, and known as Substitute Teachers, an allowance of $217.04 per day of teaching effective September 1, 2011. Half days will be paid at 50 per cent of the full day allowance.

  • Replacement Parts Replacement parts for goods purchased by Buyer are for the purpose of this Section defined as “Parts” (and are also considered “goods” under this Order). Unless specified otherwise by Buyer in writing, Supplier shall provide Parts (or upon Buyer’s written consent, an alternative replacement part that provides the same form, fit and function as the Part(s)) for a period of twenty (20) years after production of the goods (into which the applicable Parts are incorporated) ceases. Supplier shall continue to supply such Parts past the twenty (20) year period if Buyer orders at least twenty (20) Parts per year during such twenty-year period. The prices for any Parts purchased in the first two (2) years of the twenty-year period shall not exceed those prices in effect at the time production of the goods ceases, and no set up charges shall be permitted by Supplier or paid by Xxxxx during this two-year period. Thereafter, the prices for Parts shall be negotiated based on Supplier’s actual cost of production of such Parts plus any special packaging costs. No minimum order requirements shall apply unless the parties mutually agree in advance. After the end of the twenty-year period, Supplier shall continue to maintain in good working condition all Supplier-owned tooling required to produce the Parts and shall not dispose of such tooling without offering Buyer the right of first refusal to purchase such tooling.

  • Replacement Parts Warranty If during the regular or extended warranty period’s faults develop, the Contractor shall promptly repair or, upon demand, replace the defective unit or component part affected. All costs for labor and material and transportation incurred to repair or replace defective Product during the warranty period shall be borne solely by the Contractor, and the State or Authorized User shall in no event be liable or responsible therefor. Any part of component replaced by the Contractor under the Contract warranty shall be replaced at no cost to the Authorized User and guaranteed for the greater of: a) the warranty period under paragraph (d) above; or b) if a separate warranty for that part or component is generally offered by the manufacturer, the standard commercial warranty period offered by the manufacturer for the individual part or component.

  • Substitute Work Unit members on the layoff list may sign up for day-to-day substitute work with the Personnel Office indicating sites at which they are willing to work.

  • Displacement Rights Employees covered by this Agreement affected by a University decision to lay off employees shall be allowed to exercise displacement rights. This election must be made by giving notice to the Office of Human Resources within fifteen (15) days of the notice to the employee and Union of the layoff.

  • REPAIRED OR REPLACED PARTS / COMPONENTS Where the Contractor is required to repair, replace or substitute Product or parts or components of the Product under the Contract, the repaired, replaced or substituted Products shall be subject to all terms and conditions for new parts and components set forth in the Contract including Warranties, as set forth in the Additional Warranties Clause herein. Replaced or repaired Product or parts and components of such Product shall be new and shall, if available, be replaced by the original manufacturer’s component or part. Remanufactured parts or components meeting new Product standards may be permitted by the Commissioner or Authorized User. Before installation, all proposed substitutes for the original manufacturer’s installed parts or components must be approved by the Authorized User. The part or component shall be equal to or of better quality than the original part or component being replaced.

  • Preservative-treated Wood Containing Arsenic Contractor may not purchase preservative-treated wood products containing arsenic in the performance of this Agreement unless an exemption from the requirements of Chapter 13 of the San Francisco Environment Code is obtained from the Department of the Environment under Section 1304 of the Code. The term “preservative-treated wood containing arsenic” shall mean wood treated with a preservative that contains arsenic, elemental arsenic, or an arsenic copper combination, including, but not limited to, chromated copper arsenate preservative, ammoniacal copper zinc arsenate preservative, or ammoniacal copper arsenate preservative. Contractor may purchase preservative-treated wood products on the list of environmentally preferable alternatives prepared and adopted by the Department of the Environment. This provision does not preclude Contractor from purchasing preservative-treated wood containing arsenic for saltwater immersion. The term “saltwater immersion” shall mean a pressure-treated wood that is used for construction purposes or facilities that are partially or totally immersed in saltwater.

  • Substitute Teaching An adjunct faculty member who is interested in a substitute teaching assignment may be assigned to teach as a substitute in a course section for which the adjunct faculty member is qualified to teach. Each semester an adjunct faculty member may submit to the appropriate Xxxx a written request, on a form provided by the College, which shall indicate his/her willingness and availability to act as a substitute teacher and a reliable means by which to contact the adjunct faculty member on short notice. An adjunct faculty member who is selected to substitute teach shall be paid in accordance with Article 8.4.

  • How Long Does Warranty Coverage Last? The warranty lasts for a period up to 5 YEARS after the instal- lation date. This warranty period does not continue after the unit is re- moved from the location where it was originally installed. The replacement of a part under this warranty does not extend the warranty period. In other words, Daikin warrants a replacement part only for the period remaining in the war- ranty term that commenced on the installation date. What Xxxx Xxxxxx Do To Correct Problems? Daikin will furnish a replacement part, without charge for the part only, to replace any part that is found to be defective due to workmanship or materials under normal use and mainte- xxxxx. Furnishing of the replacement part is Daikin’s only responsibility under this warranty. THE APPLICABLE REMEDIES DESCRIBED IN THIS SECTION ARE DAIKIN’S ONLY RESPONSIBILITIES, AND THE OWNER’S ONLY REMEDIES, FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY. Daikin will not pay for: • Labor, freight, or any other cost associated with the service, repair, or operation of the unit. • Electricity or fuel costs, or increases in electricity or fuel costs, for any reason, including additional or unusual use of supplemental electric heat. • Lodging or transportation charges. • Refrigerant. WHETHER ANY CLAIM IS BASED ON NEGLIGENCE OR OTH- ER TORT, BREACH OF WARRANTY OR OTHER BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, NEITHER DAIKIN NOR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES SHALL IN ANY EVENT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF USE OF A UNIT, EXTRA UTILITY EXPENSES, OR DAMAGES TO PROPERTY.

  • Substitution of Equipment In the event the Computer is inoperable, ASL has a limited number of spare laptops for use while the Computer is being repaired or replaced. This agreement remains in effect for such a substitute. The Student may NOT opt to keep a broken Computer or to avoid using the Computer due to loss or damage.
