Substitute Teaching. An adjunct faculty member who is interested in a substitute teaching assignment may be assigned to teach as a substitute in a course section for which the adjunct faculty member is qualified to teach. Each semester an adjunct faculty member may submit to the appropriate Xxxx a written request, on a form provided by the College, which shall indicate his/her willingness and availability to act as a substitute teacher and a reliable means by which to contact the adjunct faculty member on short notice. An adjunct faculty member who is selected to substitute teach shall be paid in accordance with Article 8.4.

Substitute Teaching. A teacher will be additionally compensated for substitute teaching according to the following conditions:

Substitute Teaching. Each employee who is requested by his/her immediate supervisor and agrees to substitute during his/her preparation period will receive compensation at the rate provided in Appendix C, Section 7. or shall accrue compensatory time as outlined in Article 12, Section R.
Substitute Teaching. 1. An employee in grades K-12 who voluntarily agrees to substitute in lieu of his/her preparation time shall receive the sum of .0008 x BA base per clock hour taught. When staffing emergencies arise or student safety is jeopardized, an employee may be required to substitute during his/her preparation time.

Payment for substituting during a teacher's prep time shall be the hourly rate that matches the teacher's lane placement as listed in Appendix C. A teacher shall not be required to substitute teach more than twice per month. An elementary licensed staff pulled from their assigned duty to cover a classroom for the day will receive the sub daily rate of pay in addition to their daily pay. An elementary licensed staff pulled from their assigned duty to cover a classroom for a half day or less will receive half the sub daily rate of pay in addition to their daily pay. A secondary licensed staff pulled from their assigned duty to cover a classroom for a single period shall be the hourly rate that matches the teacher’s lane placement as listed in Appendix C.
