Religious Observance Leaves. Leave for religious observance shall be considered legitimate use of sick and personal leave. Any employee who is unable to fulfill his/her religious worship after the normal workday or on a Saturday or Sunday, shall be granted one (1) day of religious leave when such day is observed by said employee’s denomination, provided that such religious leave shall not be used for a church business meeting or convention. Unless otherwise specified by the employee, religious leave will be taken from Personal Leave.
