RELEVANCE TO THE TOPICS ADDRESSED Sample Clauses

RELEVANCE TO THE TOPICS ADDRESSED. IN THIS CALL Local4Global directly addresses many of the topics mentioned in FP7-ICT-2013.3.4, “ADVANCED COMPUTING, EMBEDDED AND CONTROL SYSTEMS” of the ICT EU program and, particularly, in target outcome D) “FROM ANALYZING TO CONTROLLING BEHAVIOUR OF SYSTEM OF SYSTEMS (SOS)”. The following table summarizes the relevance of the Local4Global approach to the topics addressed in the Call. Table 2. Relevance of Local4Global to the Topics addressed in the Call TOPIC RELEVANCE OF LOCAL4GLOBAL Analysing and modelling SoS with possibly emergent behaviour and their control The focus of Local4Global is on providing an inexpen- sive, "plug-and-play" mechanism for the control of ge- neric TSoS, mountable locally to each constituent sys- tem. In order for the Local4Global to be able to provide such a control mechanism, it will intrinsically model and analyze the behaviour of the TSoS especially in cases where TSoS preserves an emergent behaviour. Such an analysis and modelling will be done by "just enough" learning the TSoS dynamics and global state: the control mechanisms of Local4Global do not need an elaborate and highly complicated and accurate model of the TSoS dynamics and global state. All Local4Global needs is "just enough" accurate modelling and information of the TSoS so as to be able to compute the optimal actions at the local (constituent system) level.
