Recreation Services. As an integral part of the individual treatment program, recreational services shall be provided to meet the physical and social needs of the participants. ADHC's primary role is in facilitating Veterans’ maximum use of community transportation systems, identifying systems, aiding in the application process, etc. Such systems may include: Area "Agency on Aging" supported transportation; Caregivers; Regional transit; Local handicapped transportation resources; Veteran Service Organization vehicles; and Volunteer transportation systems, etc. When there is a lack of adequate community transportation systems, coordination of local Disabled American Veteran (DAV) transportation services may be sought. If authorized by the VA, and at the option of the beneficiary, the Contractor may directly provide transportation (in properly equipped, maintained, licensed and insured vehicle and operated by a licensed driver) or utilize appropriate public transportation. Services provided will be paid by the Contractor and will be invoiced to the VA not to exceed the VA Approved Rate for Transportation as specified in the Price Schedule, if applicable. If the contractor only provides transportation to or from a location described above, the amount due for the applicable service above will be one half of the round-trip rate. At the option of the beneficiary, and at no additional cost, the Contractor is responsible for assisting the beneficiary in arranging transportation from and return to the beneficiary’s place of residence. Transportation may be provided via privately operated vehicle (POV) by a friend or relative of the beneficiary, or by an activity providing veteran transportation as a public service. If any of these forms of transportation are provided the Contractor will not be responsible or liable for the transportation and will not be compensated for the services provided. The Contractor will not bill the beneficiary, his/her family, or any third party, for any transportation provided under this agreement. This Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) is established for providing VA beneficiaries community ADHC services in a Contractor furnished facility. Length of meal breaks of either one half hour (1/2) or one (1) hour will be determined based on operational requirements and where possible will take into account an employee’s preference. Public Holidays will be calculated and paid on the basis of seven (7) hours. Vacation entitlement shall be converted from days to hours. (Example: 105 hours for Schedule B employees with three weeks’ vacation). Vacation will be taken on the basis of number of hours entitled for each day that the employee is absent from the workplace.
Recreation Services. (A) In consideration of this agreement, the YMCA will generally develop and implement the following recreation services and programming for Town residents: 1. Town residents will receive at a minimum a 10% discount off the joining fee and also one (1) 10% discount off the membership plan of their choice. This is limited to one (1) discount per unit 2. Participation in athletic leagues, programing, and other activities will be available to residents at a reduced rate. 3. Spaces and facilities rentable for birthday parties and private gatherings subject to reasonable operating rules and restrictions will be available to residents at the same rates offered to YMCA members. 4. YMCA will host two free pool days for residents between Memorial Day and Labor Day and make pool facilities available to residents and their guests for a reasonable daily fee. 5. YMCA will partner with local schools to make swimming and pool safety programming available to elementary school students at no cost. 6. YMCA will make available fitness and wellness programs targeted specifically at seniors to residents at the same rates available to YMCA members. 7. YMCA will administer sports leagues. The administered leagues will be left to the discretion of the YMCA. The YMCA will notify the Town as early as practicable about the termination of league offerings. (B) Some services rendered under this agreement require participants to pay participation, registration, enrollment, and similar fees to the YMCA. Such fees will be remitted to the YMCA. All such fees collected in connection with the services rendered under this agreement will be informed by similar fees for similar activities and services in our region and be subject to review by the Town.
