PURPOSE AND INTENT OF AGREEMENT. 1.1 It is the intent and purpose of this Collective Agreement to recognize the community of interest between the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the Canadian Media Guild in promoting the utmost cooperation between the Corporation and its employees, consistent with the rights of both parties. It is further the intent of this Agreement to xxxxxx a friendly spirit and harmonious relationship which shall prevail between the Corporation and the employees. To this end this Agreement is signed in good faith by the Parties. The Agreement is therefore designed to set forth clearly the rates of pay, hours of work and conditions of employment to be observed between the Parties.
