Common use of Protective Devices Clause in Contracts

Protective Devices. 185. Protective devices which are used for medical reasons to ensure a patient's safety and comfort, to provide patient's stability during medical procedures, facilitate medical (non-psychiatric) treatment or safeguard health in the treatment of a health-related problem are exempt from the operation of the foregoing procedures governing the use of restraints. The following procedures for use of protective devices may never be used, however, as a substitute for those governing restraint or seclusion.
