Procedure for Course Assignments. The Department Chairperson shall assign faculty members to teach course offerings for upcoming semesters in accordance with the following procedure. The Department Chairperson will solicit the teaching preferences of each faculty member in the department. The Chairperson will then consult with the Department Personnel and Budget Committee and using the criteria set forth in paragraph 9.11 of this Agreement, will develop a proposed assignment of courses. The Department Chairperson will then review the proposed course assignments with the Xxxx. At that time, the Department Chair will verify in writing to the Xxxx, that the Chairperson has consulted with the Department Personnel and Budget Committee. If the Xxxx rejects any recommendations, she/he shall state in writing the reason for doing so. The Department Chairperson will then consult with the Department Personnel and Budget Committee, if practicable, to develop further recommendations for consideration by the Xxxx. Any reasonable change by the Xxxx shall be final.

The Department Chairperson will submit the proposed course assignments to the Xxxx and verify in writing to the Xxxx that the Department Chairperson has consulted with the Department Personnel and Budget Committee and the relevant Program Directors and/or Coordinators. If the Xxxx rejects any recommendations, he/she shall state in writing the reason for doing so. The Department Chairperson will then consult with the Department Personnel and Budget Committee and the relevant Program Directors and/or Coordinators to develop further recommendations for consideration by the Xxxx, following the same procedure as above. Following the second submission of course assignments, any reasonable change by the Xxxx shall be final.

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • Assignment of the Contract ‌ The Contractor shall not sell, transfer, assign, or otherwise dispose of the Contract or any portion thereof or of any right, title, or interest therein without prior written consent of the Division.   • Teacher Assignments 6.10.1 Non-probationary teachers will be given the opportunity to indicate in writing their preference as to subject and grade assignment for the next school year. A teacher who desires a change of assignment within a school shall submit a Preference Form to the School Director. The preference will be considered when making assignments.
